AOC Volleyball Finals 2025

Elliott Hudson College is celebrating a remarkable achievement after its Mixed Volleyball team was crowned champions at the AoC (Association of Colleges) National Championships. The team secured the championship cup following a thrilling final last week, marking a historic win for the college.

The AOC Cup, showcases the very best in college sport from across the country, with an estimated 1,500 students entering in teams each year. The EHC Mixed Volleyball team, composed of male and female students from across the college and including one student from partner institution Leeds Maths School, demonstrated exceptional teamwork and resilience throughout the competition.

The victorious team, (as photographed above) included: Josh Cosgrove, Daniella Tchandeu (Leeds Maths School), Liliana Kowalska, Abdoul Gimma, Ioannis Dimitrakopoulos, Kishore Arumugam, Portia Asante, Essay Mulubrhan, and Maks Makowski.

In addition to this outstanding achievement, the Elliott Hudson College Women’s Volleyball team also made it to the final of the AoC Women’s Volleyball Championship, earning the title of national runners-up after a strong and determined campaign.

Leeds Gorse Volleyball Coach Pete Makowski commented:
“We are incredibly proud of both our volleyball teams for their success on the national stage. These results are a reflection of the dedication, talent, and team spirit of our students, and of the continued growth of our sports programme. It’s a fantastic moment for the college.”

The double success reinforces Elliott Hudson College’s reputation for sporting excellence and highlights the strength of its co-curricular offer, giving students opportunities to develop both on and off the court.
