18 of our A-Level Computer Science students attended a sister-event to the annual Northern Microsoft Architecture Conference at Crown Plaza in Leeds.

A series of lectures and workshops were delivered by a host of leading Microsoft professionals from fields such as Cloud Computing, Data Solutions and the Visual Studio environment. The sessions exposed our students to a range of IT/Computer Science real world applications including counting chickens using AI, creating a self-balancing robot, creating a Chat-bot, HoloLens and learning about how to self-promote as a young developer.

Our students spent the day working and networking with Microsoft employees, learning about career progression, lifelong learning and the specific routes into software development.

The trip is an annual event organised by Black Marble, a local software house and a leading Microsoft partner.
