Elliott Hudson College students have recently hosted a delightful afternoon tea party for residents of Alexander Care Home, marking the culmination of their rewarding work placement experience.

Ten students interested in pursuing careers in healthcare and social work have taken part in a work experience programme, at the local care home in Morley over the last year.

To mark the end of their placements, the students served Afternoon Tea in the college hall, which was a heartfelt celebration of the meaningful relationships built over the past several months between our students and the residents.

As part of their work placement program, the students have been actively engaging with the residents, providing companionship and support while gaining valuable experience in a care-focused environment.

The afternoon tea provided an opportunity for students and residents alike to come together one last time and reflect upon their time together, share stories, and enjoy a selection of delicious treats.

It has been inspiring to see how much they have learned and how these intergenerational connections benefit everyone involved.”
