6 Media Students from Year 12 spent the day at Bradford Media Museum to take part in the BBC Digital Cities Roadshow.
We had 1 hour to film and edit our own news report – like a real journalist under time pressure! We also had an interesting talk on how to spot ‘Fake News’ and it was great to hear about this media issue from a journalist’s perspective; we discussed a wide range of issues that were helpful to bring back to our classroom studies on online and participatory news platforms.
We ended the day thinking about media and communications careers. Having access to industry professionals on the day meant we gained valuable insight into the range of jobs available and routes into the industry.
