In the Summer of 2017, Isha was lucky enough to win a bursary for a trip to Canada to participate in outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking.
Isha said ‘This was out of my comfort zone and not what I would do on a regular basis. From this trip, I made lots of new friends from both different areas of the UK and Canada as well travelling alone from London to Canada with them. From this overall experience, my leadership skills and communication skills have improved.
I have also learnt that there is so much more to life than sitting on your phone most of the day as well as well as new opportunities out there to try something new. Not only will this be a fun and amazing experience, but it will always look great on your CV and open more opportunities for you.”
Our links with IntoUniversity offer students a range of additional opportunities, Isha was one of only six IntoUniversity students across the UK to be awarded a place on this fully funded Outward Bound trip.
