Culture Week 2025: Day 4 – A Feast for the Senses

Day 4: International Food Festival

Day 4 of Culture Week was nothing short of spectacular, with an incredible display of African culture through both fashion and food. The day was filled with vibrant “aunty dresses” from Africa, showcasing the beauty of the continent’s rich fashion traditions. The atmosphere was lively and filled with warmth, as people dressed in these colourful, elegant garments that exuded pride and tradition.

But what truly took the day to another level was the food. Oh, the food! The food stalls were a paradise for the senses, offering a tantalising array of dishes from different countries. Each stall was a feast for the eyes, with vibrant colours and mouth watering scents filling the air. As we moved from one stall to the next, we had the pleasure of tasting authentic dishes from a variety of cultures, each bite better than the last. Sweet treats that left us craving more, the culinary experience was beyond anything we could have imagined. The spices, the textures, the freshness—everything was perfection. Each dish told a story of its origin, and we could truly feel the love and care that went into preparing every plate.

The cooks were nothing short of extraordinary—wow, wow, wow! Their passion for their culture and cuisine shone through in every bite. It was clear that they had poured their hearts into creating an unforgettable experience for everyone.

What an unforgettable day! The food alone will have us reminiscing for weeks, for me personally we should do this every Thursday and we can’t wait to see what the last day of Culture Week has in store. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to experience the best of global traditions!
