Culture Week 2022

During the final week of college before the Easter break, students from the Student Union Diversity and Inclusion Committee arranged a Cultural week in college to celebrate the diversity represented by our very own college community.

The events and activities took place over three days (29 – 31 March) and covered three different themes. Tuesday focussed on Customs and Traditions with a range of stalls from different cultures, featuring fun facts, games, and activities from around the world. Wednesday was our big fashion day with catwalk show, performances and dances in one big event. The final day, Thursday, was a day of food, with lunches available from around the world, including west African, Caribbean and Thai food.

“EHC is a place full of diverse cultures. I worked with the Diversity and Inclusion Committee to create an event fully dedicated to this. We hope all students enjoyed it as much as the committee and staff did preparing for it.”
Elia Haj, year 13 student and member of the Student Union Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

The week has been a huge success and we would like to thank the members of the Student Union Diversity and Inclusion Committee for their hard work to pull together different events and activities. Thank you Alexis Amoakohene, Diana Furtado Rocha, Elia Haj, Nicole Kankam, Shezmee Kastriot-Liddle, Daiana Riccio, Adanna Richardson, Damion Wint, Quinn Thompson, Joseph Clarkson, Deborah Mbalazau and Ayat Mohamed.
