Elliott Hudson College proudly announces the completion of its new £4.8 million extension, designed to enhance the learning experience for its students. The Ofsted ‘outstanding’ college held a very successful open day in November to showcase its exciting renovations and expanded facilities.

The extension includes a state-of-the-art science lab and a two-storey split mezzanine that houses three modern classrooms and an IT suite. Additionally, the expansion features two more classrooms, three IT suites, office spaces, and inviting study and social areas as well as a new smaller hall, in addition to the main hall.

Following the successful launch of the Hudson Hub tutorial space in 2022, the college has added a second IT and study suite, Elliott Extra. This new space is set to empower students as they tackle additional study assignments and prepare for apprenticeships and university degree programmes.

The expansion is part of Elliott Hudson College’s broader plans to accommodate a growing student population; from September 2025 Elliott Hudson College will be able to welcome 1,500 students.

Principal Lee Styles expressed enthusiasm about the new facilities, stating, “This expansion not only reflects our commitment to providing exceptional educational resources but also enhances the overall student experience. We are excited to welcome new students and provide them with the tools they need to succeed.”

Applications are now open until Friday 31 January 2025, and applicants will be invited to Applicant Experience Evenings which will prospective students getting a chance to explore the new facilities, engage with teaching staff and student ambassadors and learn about the college’s innovative programmes.
