FLUX: Creative Arts Exhibition
Elliott Hudson College held ‘FLUX’, 2024’s version of its annual Creative Arts and Design Exhibition, featuring the final graded pieces of Year 13 students. Held in the college’s main atrium, the exhibition showcased the work of this year’s Year 13 students from across various A Level and vocational courses including Fine Art, Graphic Communications, Photography, Product Design, Film Studies, and Media Studies.
Students were tasked with installing their final pieces for the exhibition, ensuring that they were presented in the best possible light for examiners to evaluate. Beyond the academic aspect, the students eagerly opened the exhibition to their family and friends, inviting them to celebrate their hard work and creative skill. This gesture not only showcased their dedication to their craft but also allowed them to share their artistic achievements with their loved ones, creating a supportive and vibrant atmosphere.
“The FLUX Creative Arts Exhibition 2024 at Elliott Hudson College is a celebration of creativity, innovation, and personal expression,” said Mrs Karadzic, Director of Faculty, Creative Arts. “We’re so proud of all our students from stunning paintings, photographs and captivating pieces it’s amazing to see their diverse range of talents and their unique perspectives.”
The exhibition was open to the public, welcoming family, friends, and members of the local community to experience the students’ artistic talent on display.
As well as viewing the art, guests were able to take home small tokens in the form of free postcards, featuring different student artists.
“The final graded pieces presented at the exhibition were a testament to the hard work, dedication, and creativity of our Year 13 students,” added Mrs Bennett, Subject Leader of Art and Design. “Each artwork represented not only the culmination of their artistic journey but also their growth and development as artists and designers.”
