Year 13 student Neave Robinson has secured a Level 3 Law Apprenticeship with Plexus Law following a gruelling application process that included a written test and 3 interviews.
Neave has always been interested in law and was one of the reasons she chose to study A Level law at EHC with A Level Psychology and English Literature. Alongside her studies she has also taken part in the Law Ambassadors programme, which brings sixth form students and lawyers together to work on a range of legal activities. In summer 2020, Neave also successfully completed work experience with Plexus Law. The practical opportunities she completed have given her a real insight in the legal field and have complemented her academic studies at college.
As part of her apprenticeship, Neave will be working as a paralegal where she will be working in the law office initially completing tasks such as researching, drafting court documents, and liaising with court and claimant solicitors before moving onto bigger more independent legal tasks.
“I am really looking forward to starting my apprenticeship and working alongside studying part time. I am also looking forward to meeting new people on the job and being able to apply my legal knowledge. My longer career aspirations are to be a solicitor. I hope to achieve this by completing the 6 year solicitor apprenticeship following on from the 2 year paralegal apprenticeship. In 10 years time I hope that I will be a fully qualified solicitor with lots of experience, undertaking my own cases as this is my dream job.“
Neave Robinson, year 13 student
“Neave’s commitment to practice law is longstanding and genuine and she has taken every opportunity at college to gain the skills and develop the personal qualities that will make her a successful paralegal and set her on the path to becoming a successful solicitor.
Her engagement with the Law Ambassadors programme enabled her to gain an insight into the workings of court as well as to take part in a mock trial, and her participation in the programme saw her working with legal professionals from Weightmans, one of the UKs top law firms. Neave chose to take part in the Law Society as part of her enrichment programme in college, further evidencing her commitment to her chosen profession. All of the experiences Neave has undertaken provided valuable evidence that made her a successful apprenticeship candidate.
It is great to see that Neave’s hard work and dedication has resulted in her securing her place at Plexus Law; we are so proud of her achievements. We look forward to staying in touch with Neave through our alumni network and hope she is able to share her experiences with our students in the future.”

“We are very proud of the apprenticeship programme that we run at Plexus Law. Since September 2012 we have recruited over 170 Apprentices undertaking apprenticeship qualifications with us in most of our offices. Many of our Apprentices stay with us after qualification and we have a retention rate of over 85%. We receive a large number of applications, and the interview process is very competitive. Neave stood out as being a strong candidate and we are delighted to be offering her a Paralegal Apprenticeship. We look forward to welcoming her in September as she starts her legal career.”
