Before the Christmas break, Medical Mavericks hosted a live virtual show for Biology, Health and Social Care and Sports students.
Medical Mavericks are an organisation aiming to inspire the next generation of medics and scientists. In a non-COVID world they would take real medical and sports science equipment into schools, colleges, and events all over the UK.
To continue to engage and educate students, Tom Warrender from Medical Mavericks adapted their events for online delivery, resulting in the creation of The Human Guinea Pig Virtual Show: Inside the NHS! This show consists of live medical demonstrations, information on higher education courses and careers, and the opportunity for students to interact and ask questions. 184 of our students attend the virtual show and we have received nothing but positive experience from those who attended.
Medical Mavericks are continuing to develop their content, aiming to aid prospective students in making Important decisions about their future career paths. We hope to work with Medical Mavericks again in the future, offering our students an insight into an exciting range of medical careers and progression routes.
