Dr Adam Formby from Leeds University came to speak to our students as part of the ‘Social sciences beyond the classroom’ enrichment programme. He shared his inter-disciplinary research on media and crime and the ways in which the media gives a distorted image of youth crime. An interesting opportunity for students to discuss a prominent and debated topic in society.
We had 18 students and 4 trainees show up which was good.
