At the end of 2025 a group of learners attending Elliott Hudson College were fortunate enough to take part in a Podcasting Enrichment series provided by Go Higher West Yorkshire. The 3 part programme worked to develop the podcasting knowledge, skills and creativity of the learners. With session one exploring ‘What is a podcast?’ followed by a visit to the University of Leeds to give recording one a go. Session 3 then finished of the programme exploring the skills the learners had developed and how they will benefit them in their future careers.

The episodes that the learners recorded featured student ambassadors from the University of Leeds. Interviewing them to discover what the University process is like, what they might expect and what challenges they may face. Interactions with role models like this is crucial for young people and those taking part excelled in the programme.
